Recently I was at my mother’s. She came up with a huge pile of postcards that she had kept over the years. She actually is a postcard addict, so I shouldn’t be surprised that there were so many. Among them were a lot of cards with palaces or castles on it. Most were actually sent by me over the past 20+ years, bringing back lots of memories and often also signed by friends. I am always happy when I find these postcards when I want to send some to family and friends. My mother of course always gets the best ones.
Which royal castles and palaces were on the cards in the collection: Bad Arolsen, Bad Berleburg Castle, Balmoral Castle, Bückeburg Palace, Ehrenburg Palace, Fredensborg Palace, Gråsten Palace, Hampton Court Palace, Hever Castle, Huis Doorn, Kaiservilla in Bad Ischl, Kensington Palace, Koldinghus, Krujë Castle, Langinkoski, Mainau, Nymphenburg Palace, Oldenburg Palace, Osborne House, Palace Het Loo, Rheinsberg Castle, Royal Palace of Brussels, Royal Palace of Madrid and Windsor Castle. And I am pretty sure I have seen a lot more than that.
