In my bookcase, there are three travel books written by or in collaboration with princesses. All three are fantastic books, which I highly recommend. The books can unfortunately be a bit difficult to buy.
Explore Sweden with HRH Crown Princess Victoria
Johan Erséus wrote the texts for this book. The foreword is by Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. Her hikes through the 25 provinces of Sweden on the occasion of her 40th birthday form the basis for this magnificent photo book, full of her memories of these visits. The book was published by Max Ström in 2020.
Days at Drottningholm
Princess Christina, Mrs Magnuson (of Sweden) takes her readers through the history of the Drottningholm Palace. She also shares her own memories of the palace her brother King Carl XVI Gustaf still lives in. Ralf Turander took the wonderful pictures in this book that was published in 2016.
Leopold III Fotograaf
King Leopold III of the Belgians was avid traveller and photographer. During his lifetime he visited many countries in the world. His youngest daughter Princess Esmeralda of Belgium, who wrote several books about her family, compiled this book full of his amazing photos in 2006.
